Courses for identified gifted and other high potential/high performing students are offered at Russellville Middle School in a variety of programming options. The rigor of these classes offers students an opportunity to experience a differentiated curriculum, advanced levels, and compacted curriculum with accelerated pacing. Classes are accelerated through in-depth study and enriched through content appropriate critical and creative problem-solving processes. RMS teachers have received training in Secondary Course Content Differentiation strategies for gifted learners. Additionally, some teachers are using CollegeBoard SpringBoard curriculum to prepare students for CollegeBoard Pre-AP and AP courses offered at RJHS and RHS.
