ADVANCED/SCC DIFFERENTIATION, ACCELERATED, Pre-AP and AP CONTENT CLASSES

Courses for identified gifted and other high potential/high performing students are offered at Russellville Junior High in a variety of programming options. The rigor of these classes offers students an opportunity to experience a differentiated curriculum, advanced levels, and compacted curriculum with accelerated pacing. Classes are accelerated through in-depth study and enriched through content appropriate critical and creative problem-solving processes. RJHS teachers have received training in Secondary Course Content Differentiation strategies for gifted learners, CollegeBoard's Pre-AP and AP Course content-specific areas.

• 8th Grade College Board Pre-AP Algebra 1

• 8th Grade Science with Secondary Course Content Differentiation

• 8th Grade Social Studies with Secondary Course Content Differentiation

• 9th Grade College Board Pre-AP SpringBoard English

• 9th Grade College Board Pre-AP Geometry

• 9th Grade Advanced Science with Secondary Course Content Differentiation

• 9th Grade AP US History (AP Exam in May)

• 9th Grade AP Computer Science Principles (AP Exam in May)
