RUSSELLVILLE ROBOTICS TEAM CONSIDERED TOP 1% in the WORLD

Last week, the Russellville High School Robotics Teams competed at the 2023 Vex Robotics Worlds competition in Dallas, Texas. Three teams from Russellville competed  and one team, 967C, is now ranked in the top 1% of teams in the World.

Team 967C competed in the Research Division and were up against 80 teams. They were the only Russellville team to make it to the elimination rounds with a record of 8-2 and played well until their elimination in Round 16. They are the first team in  Arkansas history to rank high enough to be an alliance captain.

“These students have devoted countless hours throughout this season and we are so proud to get to  see their hard work pay off on a global level!” says coach Lindsey Hefner.

The other two teams, Teams 967T and 967E were in extremely tough divisions and made great strides in their divisions.

Coach Ethan Hodge says “Robotics students learn Computer Science and Engineering skills at events like this, but more importantly they learn teamwork, communication, and time management. All of our students are amazing and we are fortunate to have support from sponsors and the Russellville School District. I am excited to see what our students do in the future!”

Congratulations to these students!
