Russellville School District 2026 Teacher of the Year Mickey DuVall has been named as one of 15 finalists for the Arkansas Teacher of the Year by the Arkansas Department of Education's elementary and secondary division. The 15 finalists will be honored at the Governor’s Mansion on August 6th.
Mickey is a 8th grade Pre-AP Algebra teacher at Russellville Junior High School and has served at RSD for 16 years!
“Mr. DuVall has demonstrated unwavering dedication to the Russellville School District and its students,” said RJHS Principal Sara Walker. “His influence reaches far beyond the walls of his classroom and leaves a lasting impact on the students and community he serves. He embodies the commitment, leadership, and heart of an exceptional educator.”
Four state finalists will be chosen from the top 15 at the ceremony in August. The overall winner will be selected in the fall and will be in the running for National Teacher of the Year for 2027.
