Congratulations to our April Employee and Student of the Month

Our Student of the month is 8th grader, Grace Anne Olson.  She was nominated by Aubrey Howerton, Janie Duvall and Jennifer Roberts. Here is what they had to say about Grace Anne: " She is the definition of a dedicated student-athlete. Her positivity is radiant and brings joy to the whole room of students or athletes. She ensures her academics are a priority, but her dance and track responsibilities never falter. She is kind to her peers, respectful to her teachers, encouraging to her opponents, and a true blessing to our school environment. I am grateful to have the chance to coach her, and would love for her to be recognized as the RJHS student of the month."

Our Employee of the month is PLTW teacher, Brittany Herring. She was nominated by an anomyous staff member as well as Aubrey Howerton. Here is what they had to say about Brittany: "Brittany has almost single-handedly held up RJHS in the PLC process this year.  It takes a lot of grit, understanding, and strength for her to complete her tasks and help others to complete theirs as well. No amount of pay would be enough to compensate her for all that she has done. The least we could do as a school body is agree that she has worked hard in the good moments, bad moments, long days, mass creation of documents, leadership, and attentiveness to make RJHS a better school this year and going forward. She has taken on numerous responsibilities this school year and has ensured that her fellow teachers feel supported and prepared in their duties. I feel like I can go to Brittany at any time throughout the day to ask a question, pick her brain, get her opinion, receive feedback, or simply talk as a friend. This job is tiresome and without the feeling of community, it would be nearly impossible. Brittany consistently goes above and beyond to be available and reach out to anyone in need no matter what. I really appreciate her guidance and presence here at RJHS!"

We are PROUD to call these two Whirlwinds!
