Mrs. Gallegos’ ELA class spent Writing Wednesday writing appreciation notes to their teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week!



RMS proudly announces that our own Savannah Burden has been named Russellville School District Teacher of the Year!! With her family in attendance, Mrs. Burden was surprised by the exciting news during a student assembly and was presented with a check for $1000, which was donated by Centennial Bank. Her RMS family is so excited for her! We are so proud of Mrs. Burden for representing RMS and the entire district!







Students in 6th grade science have been researching famous scientists. This week, they are presenting to their peers. They are doing a great job on their presentations!

Upcoming 7th Grade Boys Basketball tryouts will be held today through the 11th from 5 - 6 PM in the RMS Gym. Students need to have a current physical in order to tryout.

Students have been working so hard on their state tests, so Mrs. Southerland and her students spent some time enjoying the sunshine today as a reward for their hard work.


Any 5th or 6th grader that is interested in applying for the RMS 2023-2024 Robotics Teams, now is your chance!
The student must turn in the application by MAY 23rd. You may turn them into the office secretary and they will turn in the applications to Coach Bender or Coach McClure. The paper application needs to be filled out and turned in BEFORE MAY 23rd.
After reviewing applications, candidates will be selected and notified if they have or have not made the team on MAY 26th. A parent meeting will be held on MAY 30th at 3:30 pm at RMS.

ACT Aspire testing is here! In honor of this week, the staff at RMS made encouraging posters to help motive their students during testing!











Mr. Daily’s STEM literacy class explored the Solar System using online simulators and models. Students observed celestial bodies, influence of the seasons, structures of planets, and the shear size of the Solar System.
